The 2006 event will attract around 400 competitors from five continents.

There are 3 weapons: Foil, Epée and Sabre. Each is contested by men and women. Fencing will take place in the new £25 million Sports Training Village at Bath University.

Social events will use the world famous civic buildings of the City of Bath including the Roman Bath, the Pump Room and the Assembly Rooms.

A Social Programme will enable visitors to explore the outstanding natural beauty of this part of England.

This is the first veterans World Championship event to be held in the UK and the Organising Committee is dedicated to making the event the best the world has seen.
