Wynford Seymour 1931-2020
It is with sadness we report the passing of Wynford Seymour. Wynford was a member of NVA and BVF since 1991 and was a long standing supporter of fencing in Wales.
Wynford was a real gentleman. When I first started Veterans fencing, he was one of the lovely Welsh Vets who welcomed me into the fold of Welsh Veterans Fencing. He always had a smile on his face and a good word to say. He will be sorely missed.
Sad news, he was a gentleman.
He was a legend and one of my early coaches. There will be those who remember his lessons in his garage. Or rather him in the garage and the pupil outside!!
Started fencing with Wynford 54 years ago in the Afan Lido in Port Talbot. Sometimes there was only Wynford and myself there. But he never gave up. He will be sadly missed.
Very sad to hear, he was indeed a gentleman.

A real character. I can still remember him giving fencing lessons outside the hall in Mumbles over 35yrs ago. He was also a great one for organising social events.
Sad news Gareth he was a gentleman ...
Wynford was an excellent proponent for fencing in the Swansea area. He was always courteous to me and enquired as to how my fencing was going.
Wynford was always a gentleman, and always willing to give his all. He has been missed over the past 3years due to his increasing ill health.
Sad News - I did not know him well but enjoyed the few occasions I fenced him. A true gentleman.
So sorry to hear this sad news and I will miss him. The first year I joined the Welsh Veterans he gave me a real good thrashing have never forgotten that and since every time I entered the Welsh Nationals my aim was to beat my friend Wynford R I P
Sorry to hear this. I remember Wynford when I first joined the Vets. He was a lovely fellow.
